Louder than usual
A hole or failed gasket.
Exhaust suddenly louder, rattling underneath or smelling fumes in the cabin? We find the leak or loose part and fix it — replacing hangers, clamps, gaskets and sections on site where possible.
An exhaust carries hot, toxic gases away from the engine and out the back of the car. A leak near the front can let fumes — including carbon monoxide — into the cabin, so it’s a safety issue, not just a noise one.
Most exhaust problems are broken rubber hangers, rusted clamps, failed gaskets or rattling heat shields. These we fix on site; larger section replacements or welding are done at our workshop.
